Our friend Liz (who has been living and working in New Zealand for the past four years) was home for Christmas, so we nipped over to Great Bowden and spent a Sunday evening in the Shoulder of Mutton. Nothing much to say about the drinks, they were mostly out of a Britvic bottle. But it was nice to be in a pub that didn't get cold at 10pm, even if the seats weren't the most comfortable.
Liz's has definitely picked up a bit of an accent since her last visit home, and we had a good laugh about various things. Hopefully we will get to see her again before she goes back to NZ.
