A morning visit to the MK centre proved relatively successful, providing a chance to see the new TAG F1s and amongst other things a very much reduced box of Hotel Chocolate 'Christmas' chocolates in John Lewis. The box contained 12 chocolates (two of which were dark) for £5.99... a decent price and an absolute steal compared to the frankly ludicrous RRP of £19.99!
Comedy moment of the day came when I tried on a pair of joggers in Primark which were so oversized and long that I literally looked like I was wearing a fat suit! I did pick up a couple of funky, textured T shirts in there though, so not a complete waste of time.
Rose's pursuit of a handbag for work was less successful however and we really can't work out why the handbag section of John Lewis is still functioning on reduced lighting (as indeed I'm sure it was last time we visited).
I did try on a rather nice fragrance in John Lewis (Van Cleef and Arpels - Moonlight Patchouli) but at £153 a bottle (soon to be £163 apparently) it wasn't something to be purchased on a whim. Maybe next time...
