We had planned, indeed booked tickets, to go to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park today, but as the weather took a sudden turn for the worse we decided not to drive for two hours only to mope about in the rain and instead we went into Leicester and ordered a new mattress at Colourbank.
While there we decided to go out for dinner, since we had been planning to do so in Yorkshire anyway, and we rang the Goose from the car and booked for 6:45. As it happens this was the last day before the new Covid 19 rules came into force, which meant that anyone in a restaurant or pub would have to wear a mask unless they were sitting down at a table...
We shared a starter of garlic bread, then both had fillet steaks and chips and finally shared a plum and blackberry Bakewell Tart with ice cream. It really was absolutely perfect all round, couldn't fault a single thing and we headed home at 9pm very satisfied indeed!
