MEAL OUT: The Three Crowns (Wymeswold)

Rather unfortunately we visited the Three Crowns during a prolonged heatwave, so it was a little bit sweaty all round really. Despite appearances, the food was really, really nice - Rose and I had the Rump which was more like a Fillet and bloody lovely. This came with dripping-cooked chunky chips, which were quite filling but also very nice. It would have been nice to sample the Millionaires Shortbread Sundae, but no one really wanted to stay in the pub any longer than necessary and so I passed it up. It was quite a pubby pub, but the food was much better than you'd expect from the surroundings and I'd have no issues with going back there when it was cooler.

On the way back to Lee and Su's we stopped at a Sainsbury's to pick up a Victoria Sandwich, which we ate at about midnight in their garden with Strawberry and Cream Haagen Dasz. Novelty for the win!
