Yet another visit to the Goose, and another delicious meal. After our bread (served with sea salted butter) we were brought a small taster course of soup (which was awesome, and just enough actually). Our mains were fantastic too, Rose had lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and I had the fillet, chips and peppercorn sauce. All perfect, and so filling!
We decided to share a pudding, which was a clementine cheesecake... but of course, as is the fashion at the moment it was a 'deconstructed' cheesecake. Why? Utter bollocks. Well the cheesecake part was nice, the coulis part was nice, there was virtually no crumb, the gingerbread shortbread was lovely and the ice cream was nice. The clementines soaked in mulled wine were disgusting though.
Still, that aside, it was a very nice meal indeed and a splendid way to spend some of my ill-gotten PPI money.
