MEAL OUT: The Langton Arms (Church Langton)

Another trip to the trusty Langton Arms for Mum's 79th birthday. As usual the food was good, although asking for a quiet table saw us seated in the snug at the front of the pub. Bit pointless as it was noisier in there than in the (largely empty) restaurant. But still, a pleasant evening despite that... 

SHOPPING: IKEA & Meadowhall (Sheffield)

 

Our first trip to Meadowhall this year it seems... but first we stopped off at IKEA in Nottingham to get a few bits (completely forgetting that there is an IKEA literally opposite Meadowhall. Actually this proved useful as the lamp we wanted wasn't sold at the Nottingham branch for some bizarre reason, but we managed to get it in the Sheffield one. Also picked up a new lampshade for £7. So much cheaper than shitty ones we got from John Lewis last year.

Anyway, as always the prime purpose of the trip was to visit Maxine and see what was new in the TAG Heuer boutique. We got to see the new 'wave' dial Aquaracers and also the dark blue Monaco with the yellow second hand, and also popped into Hotel Chocolat to replenish our stocks before we returned home.
