We caught this exhibition on its final weekend, only by chance really - I saw a poster walking through the Grosvenor Centre a week or two prior. It was well worth the trip, being a broad history of trainers that managed to combine just enough history with enough exhibits to not become repetitive. Probably a little simplistic for someone who is really interested in trainers perhaps, but for the more casual trainer devotee it seemed pretty good. Would have liked to see a few more modern shoes admittedly, but what was there was generally interesting and the walls had just the right amount of information to impart. Can't believe Serena Williams was paid $40m to wear a brand of trainers... yikes!
