SHOPPING: East Midlands Outlet (Mansfield)

 

With lockdown lifted, it was time to venture out into the world once again and it seemed like the perfect time to revisit the East Midlands Outlet Centre. Of course we still had to wear masks and queue outside Nike (15 mins, but a waste of time since all the trainers were rather boring), but for most of the shops it wasn't a big deal.

We did buy a few things; Rose found a few books in The Works of course, and we got some Lindt, and we also bought a large Yankee Candle (but not before I had dropped one onto several others and smashed them all over the floor - oops).

We were thinking of visiting Ikea as well for some storage boxes, but couldn't face it - and we found some that were just the job in Homebase in the end. Result!

MEAL OUT: Grey Goose (Gilmorton)

 

Finally we were able to return to the Grey Goose for a delayed birthday meal for Rose, and thankfully it was worth the wait. Predictably we both ordered the fillet steak, which as ever was cooked to perfection. For pudding we split the sticky toffee pudding, which was also absolutely delicious. It was great to go back and to see Wendy again, but it's probably going to be a little while longer before we can pop over for a drink of an evening...
