Rose's 50th Birthday Dinner
Since we were somewhat stymied by the Coronovirus lockdown, Rose's 50th birthday meal had to be at home...
Farm shop steak pie and chips...
Home-made caramel shortbread, strawberry cheescake Haagen Dazs and mint choc chip ice cream.

The Coronavirus Lockdown
I feel like I should say something about the Coronavirus lockdown, if only because it's something that is pretty huge and has a massive impact on everybody's lives... and it's clearly something we are never going to forget either.
As of today (3rd April) Rose has been working from home for two weeks and I have been working on my own at NTS since Tuesday. Rich and Kath have been furloughed, which means we can claim 80% of their salaries from the Govt; obviously that's going to be a big help to the company financially.
It's very weird to have to queue to get into supermarkets, and to keep 2M away from other people in the process. Also being told you shouldn't touch your face unless you've just washed your hands makes you realise just how often you touch your face - well I certainly do anyway!
It will be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out and when things eventually get back to normal, will there be lasting change in the way people live? For example, a lot of habits will have been broken, like getting 'coffee'... will people realise how much money they 'waste' or will they just go back to the their old ways?
Also will people feel let of the leash and go crazy spending money and booking holidays, or will they be more circumspect and nervous about the state of their finances? Perhaps people will also see the benefit of saving for difficult times rather than always living up to their income?
Hopefully we'll all be here to see the outcome!
