2019 Christmas Choccie Haul!

MEAL OUT: The Queen's Head (Saddington)

Our second meal out in a week, this time a pre-Christmas meet up with Lisa and Nick. Rose had chicken stuffed with stuffing wrapped in bacon with confit potatoes... while I had steak pie and chips with gravy. For pud we shared an epic Eton Mess cheesecake, which was very nice indeed, with all sorts of decorative adornments all over it! My chair was a bit hard, but overall a decent meal and it makes a change to go local...

MEAL OUT: Horse and Hounds (Knossington)

Our third visit to the Fox and Hounds, which was the first place we went with Lee and Su after they moved to this area, and a very successful one indeed. I had fillet steak and Rose had duck, both of which were perfect and we both had the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake which was also extremely nice and very rich. The only slight niggle was that we were sat right next to a radiator which was belting out heat. I could feel it from where I was so poor Su must have been melting, but as she was wearing the least clothes she gamely elected to take the 'hot' seat.

The next morning we got to see the (pretty much) finished annexe at Wingfield House and it's amazing how much it's come on over the last few weeks since I saw it. The bar area looks really good and with the pool table, gym equipment and multiple TVs now in place, it's really coming together.
