MEAL OUT: The Wheatsheaf (Langham)

Our second visit to The Wheatsheaf and again while the place itself isn't overly sophisticated, the food was very nice indeed. Well, mine was anyway. Rose was a little disappointed with her fillet of beef, although her Dauphinoise was top notch and her coconut ice cream was lovely. I had a pie and chips and fries.... for some reason my chunky chips weren't quite ready so they brought me some fries initially... all very nice, and then I had a smashing Millionaires Cheesecake, although I was too full really from the chunky chips which were massive!

MEAL OUT: The Langton Arms (Church Langton)

Our third visit to the Lanton Arms since the refit and again the food was very nice and the service was also greatly improved (this was a Monday though and fairly quiet so there's no reason for the service to be poor really). Amazingly, all four of us (this was a late birthday meal for Mum) wanted scampi, so that was simple. It was very nice, and even though it looked a tad small, it was surprisingly filling.

For desert Rose had the brownie, while I had the Vegan fudge/banana/walnet sundae, which was delicious! The Mums had sorbet and ice cream. It was all exceedingly pleasant, and I would definitely go back again.
