MEAL OUT: Fox and Hounds (Tugby)

Nicely presented pub/restaurant in Tugby, provided us with a nice meal and Rose with a very nice After Eight Cheesecake. Nothing really wrong with it, but not terribly exciting at the end of the day.

GIG: Destruction (Manchester)

Sunday nights are never a great time to go and see gigs, especially when they require a two hour journey to get home afterwards, but despite this I'm glad we made the effort. Destruction gave us another thrashtastic performance in a venue that was surprisingly full and in front of a pit that was surprisingly violent. All in all, a good time was had by all.

Horse of the Year Show (Birmingham)

The usual mixture of horsey fun, albeit this year with rather too much emphasis on the painfully tedious dressage.

MEAL OUT: The Windmill Inn (Brascote)

Refreshingly simple and publike, this place served up nice food with an impossibly cheerful waitress. Not to mention an impressive quantity of fries with my burger, who can ask for more?
