MEAL OUT: The Onslow Arms (Guildford)

We found this place online and pre-booked it, just as well as we'd have never found it otherwise. Lovely surroundings and great food, the only thing that took the edge off it was the weather, it was so damned hot. But I hope we will return to the Onslow Arms and Guildford in the not too distant future.

HOLIDAY: Radisson Blu Hotel (Guildford)

The M25 and the unbelievably hot weather aside, this was a great weekend. Guildford was well worth visiting and we would love to go back. Sadly we really didn't make the most of it because it was so damned hot that we could hardly be bothered to do anything, least of all look around the plethora of shops available. The hotel was fantastic as well, after we returned from our meal out we went into the bar and I had a couple of non-alcoholic cocktails, the first one was fruity, the second one berry and mint, which tasted really rustic. Really cool black bathroom as well.
In the afternoon we dived into this wonderful air conditioned pub for lunch, which itself was really tasty!

GIG: Onslaught (Bristol)

Our third time of seeing Onslaught since the reunion, but the first seeing them headline. Bristol Academy is a great venue and a great place to choose to shoot their new live video (which meant we got extra lights!). Artillery were pretty damned good too, the new singer did a great job and live renditions of Terror Squad and The Challenge put a smile on my face.

MEAL OUT: The Red Lion (Welham)

You can't really knock it, the food is unspectacular but it's cheap as chips. Seven people for £100 is dirt cheap, but I wouldn't choose to go there, I'd rather go out somewhere nicer, but less often for the same money. Still, the visiting Australians seemed to like it.
