MEAL OUT: The Pheasant (Upper Burwardsley)

Extremely busy at The Pheasant today, still I guess it's to be expected on a Saturday afternoon. Just about managed to get a table, but then had a slightly disappointing steak pie.

SHOPPING: Cheshire Oaks Outlet (Manchester)

Usual mammoth shopping spree, including the inevitable stop off at the Lindt shop. Unfortunately this time the Lindt shop was sans whole nut. Not impressed.

GIG: Within Temptation (Manchester)

Our first trip to the Manchester Apollo, and our first night in a Premier Inn. Our fourth time seeing Within Temtation though... support band Delain went down well, probably the next in line to take over WT's underground crown as they head for the mainstream.

Sharon had a cold apparently, and there was some suspiciously tape-like vocals going on... but even then there was something a little off about the show. It seemed very sterile, obviously professional, but totally lacking in spirit somehow...

Dancing on Ice: The Final Tour (Nottingham)

One last chance to see Torvill and Dean perform their Olympic winning routine, in the venue with the steepest seats imaginable. They really weren't joking when they said the seats weren't suitable for people who suffer from vertigo! 

THEATRE: Deathtrap (Leicester)

Finally got to see this brilliant play, after years of not knowing that it a) was a play, and b) what it was called! Only downside was that having booked tickets near the front in the middle, my legs were crushed the entire time by the chair in front. Not doing that again!
